She has a fairly decent metal swing set that will last a lot of years. But the thin plastic seats that came with it didn't hold up very long with the rain and cold weather. I was happy to find such a high quality swing that will hold up nicely and be easy to take off during the winter time. It was extremely surprising honestly to see it has such a good weight limit that tells me in itself that it will not break down to fast. The ropes are fairly heavy duty and do not retain moisture or mold at least as far as I have seen in the past few weeks which is a definite nice change from the rubber covers on the swings that came with her swing set. All though it isn't set up for use on a swing set it was not overly hard to make adjustments to use on the swing set. I've always wanted one for me and my family and this has been working out quite well for all of us. I'm 150 lbs and this swing has had no issue holding my weight. To be honest, I use this more often than the kids do so I know it's more than safe for them. I used very strong hardware that I bought at Home Depot for only $5 and it supports up to 200 lbs. Pros: - Attractive overall look - Very strong and robust with a good weight rating - Rope is very comfortable and weather resistant synthetic material - Easy to adjust the length of the rope Cons: - My swing came with marks on the top part of the wood. I'll sand it out later but it should come pretty much perfect. 1 star off for that. I originally bought it to replace the baby swing on my kids swing set at my mothers house but the neighborhood kids had quite the fun playing with it on our neighbor friends clothes hanging pole. Sorry im not sure the proper name for it. All the kids got to take turns swinging on it from the ages of 2 all the way up to age 43. My boyfriend is roughly 250 lbs and he was able to swing on the swing without having any issues. Between the 7 little ones in the neighborhood and the grown kid it has held up. One thing we did notice was that it needed to be adjusted from time to time as the sides did keep slipping down. Overall this is a great swing and can hold a fair amount of weight. Wish we had 3 more to fit around the neighbors yard so their would be less fighting with the kids. Highly recommended.
