They are made out walnut wood and have dark rich color. The hook is made out of chrome and swivels so I can adjust the angle based on where I use it. I use these hangers to hang my winter coats and jackets. The hangs have a bar where which can be used to hang pants and a suit. My hangers have a polished wood bar and some garments can slip off. I usually put my husband's jackets on 3 plastic hangers. He is a large man and his jackets are extremely heavy - especially his leathers.
